About the abandoned church
The Old Jones Gap Church in Hendersonville, North Carolina is a .17 acre property and was first opened in 1913 by Hicks Jones. The church is now abandoned due to damage and a new church was constructed in 1995 across the street. Volunteers have tried to preserve this historic location over the years. Tax records show the building is 2,056 square feet. Reviewing the property records, there is also a 972 square foot basement, which was not explored or photographed.
